Victoria Dalzell, MD
MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care Portland
Being a developmental and behavioral pediatrician was the perfect match for me, as it combined what I had studied in college, psychology, with medicine. Prior to medical school I had worked in both a residential treatment center for children and a children’s psychiatric hospital. I learned how children’s difficult behavior could easily be misunderstood and wanted to help reframe how their behavior was viewed. My clinical interests include autism spectrum disorders, complex ADHD, learning difficulties, intellectual disabilities and anxiety. I enjoy assisting families through diagnosis, navigation of treatment and services and eventually preparing them for the transition to adulthood. After being in practice for over twenty years, teaching has remained a strong passion and my goal is to spread that teaching not only to the residents in our program but also to primary care providers and clinicians who care for children across the state.

Carol Hubbard, MD, PhD
MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care Portland
After graduate training in tropical medicine and infectious disease, I realized that I am most fascinated by the inner workings of people’s minds, and how we interact with and are impacted by our relationships and our environment. This led me to Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and to Maine. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to start the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric program at Maine Medical Center in 2000. It is a great privilege to work together with children and teens with developmental/behavioral concerns and their families (and teachers and community providers) to help them to have the best opportunities for happiness and independence. My academic interests include physical activity for people with disabilities and its effect on learning, development and health; environmental factors in developmental disabilities; and the impact of diagnostic labels. On the side I work to further environmental sustainability and conservation. In my free time I enjoy running, gardening, painting, traveling, hiking tall mountains, and Nordic skiing with my family and our dog.

Noah Hoffman, MD
MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care Portland
I grew up in Harpswell, Maine and told my parents I was going to be a pediatrician when I was 6. I studied biology, played football, and met my wife (ME AAP member Dr. Sarah Hoffman) while an undergraduate at Colby College. I went to The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and then completed residency and fellowship training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before returning to Maine as soon as possible (2016). I have an interest in health services research and the organization of our healthcare system. When at work but not seeing patients, I work on MaineHealth pediatric specialty referral processes. When not at work I can usually be found sitting around a fire on a patio in our Freeport neighborhood; hiking, riding bikes or skiing in Carrabassett Valley; on the water in Casco Bay or the Boothbay region; or coaching baseball for my sons Max and James.

Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors hiking, snowboarding and spending time with my husband, daughter and our rescue pup.
